Find the right financial Planner
When searching for a financial planner, there are a number of things you might want to consider:

- If you live in Sydney we recommend that you deal with a Sydney financial planners as they will have local knowledge
- If you live in Melbourne get a Melbourne financial planner for the same reason
- Your financial planner should help you with car loan, and superannuation.
- Ask around for recommendations from colleagues, family and friends. People who have dealt directly with a planner will know what areas they felt were dealt with well, and where they were let down.
- Find out whether the potential planner deals with clients that have similar needs to you, and what their track record has been.
- Don't choose your financial merely on the returns they offer. Financial planning involves much more than this, including really understanding what your financial goals are.
- Meet with a number of planners in obligation-free meetings to get a feel for who you can work well with and who you can trust. This is also a chance to check out the planner's qualifications, licence, and any professional memberships they may have.
- Remember that any financial advice you get is going to have costs associated, and you need to be very aware of the pricing structures for plan preparation and implementation.
